Central Park Real Estate is a brokerage firm specializing in real estate development in and around New York City’s most infamous green space, Central Park. The company came to Squat New York seeking a website that inspires and excites potential residents, ideally through an experiential presentation of the properties. Squat’s creative solution hinged on a 3D model of the properties. We felt it would not only make properties easily navigable, but immerse visitors in the elevated experience of the neighborhood.
We illustrated in detail every building surrounding the park – a stark deviation from your standard image slideshows. By limiting our model to only buildings within the scope of the neighborhood, we were able to present it as its own unique island, much like Manhattan. With this perspective, the park itself (in all its glory) looks like the residents’ backyard. This conceptual treatment of the neighborhood creates a world revolving around exclusivity and luxury – the very things these residents crave most.
Illustrations were rendered as realistically as possible, using real-time references, street exploration and photography. Each illustrated development was made clickable, so users can go straight to a building’s landing page and take a virtual tour, read up on its backstory, and view all the available listings. Users can even flip the map and view buildings from the east or west, as well as click through the park amenities to learn all about this beautiful park’s many unique features. Together these elements help make the process of discovery both fun and intuitive.
