Newport since 1986

Newport

Thanks to LeFrak, a family-owned organization that has been nurturing the growth and development of Newport since 1986, Newport is now a thriving waterfront community. Located on banks of the Hudson River in Jersey City, NJ, the neighborhood offers easy access to Manhattan and all surrounding metropolitan areas. The place is buzzing with locals and foreigners alike – all looking to take advantage of the neighborhood’s beautiful new parks, malls and high rises overlooking the city.

From the conceptualization of the exhibition to the planning and budgeting, to the fabrication and installation of displays, our team developed everything from the ground up. Our very first task was to decide the type of media we would use for each display and how we would map out their placement in the designated space. This required us to consider how the visitor would prefer to experience Newport’s full story in a limited amount of space and time. To help cater to different types of learners and make the exhibition more engaging, we used a great variety of media.

At the room’s entrance, we placed a historical timeline – complete with 3D titles and high-resolution images – of all the most significant contributions LeFrak has made to the neighborhood over time. The wall adjacent features an interactive map that allows visitors to choose a location in the surrounding region and learn exactly how long it takes to get to Newport by any mode of transportation. Other interactive panels engage viewers with aerial views of the neighborhood throughout the day and infographics communicating the active and luxurious lifestyle of Newport community members. They even offer gorgeous architectural renderings of LeFrak’s plans for future commercial developments.

The center of the room features a 3D model of Newport that incorporates a lighting system we installed. It enables visitors to see the section of the neighborhood physically light up in front of them at the very moment they’re learning about it on the top screen. In the back of the room, visitors can find out detailed information about the seven largest office buildings LeFrak has constructed. Each display is angled at a 45 degree angle to resemble the scales of a dragon’s tail, which brings an exciting energy to the room. We were able to further elevate the showroom’s atmosphere by only using the LeFrak’s signature natural blues and materials that incorporated natural elements, such as water, wood, brick, and glass.

A lot of what makes the presentation so seamless and user-friendly is the advanced software we implemented into all the digital displays. It was so important that the visitor’s experience wouldn’t be hindered by substandard or overly complex technology.

Newly equipped with a full room of ultra modern displays – all packed with mesmerizing videos, graphics and interactive presentations – LeFrak began pitching Newport as the pinnacle of progress and innovation. They have since closed major listings with corporate giants like Chase and Target.
